International Women's Day

 Greetings!

International Women’s Day – March 8 will be celebrated by Unifor local unions, activists and staff right across the country.

Attached is the Unifor statement for International Women’s Day. Unifor women are making a difference by helping to shape the conversations in our workplaces, our union and in our communities. We have already taken on two major equality campaigns since the creation of Unifor – “Lets re think Child Care” and “Can Work be Safe When Home Isn’t” a national survey that will help measure the impact of domestic violence in the workplace.

On International Women’s Day Unifor women are standing up for our union, for equality and for economic and social justice – Unifor Women are building a movement for change!

To find out more about these two important campaigns or to find an IWD event in your community, visit us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/uniforwomen.

Please post the IWD Statement in your workplace and share with your contacts or link it to your local union’s website.

Happy International Women’s Day!

In solidarity
