Defend Our Marine Highways!

A Rally to Tell the Premier: Stop the Cuts and Listen to
the People!
11:30 am to 1:30 pm Tuesday, March 11th, 2014
Provincial Legislature Lawn, Victoria, B.C.

On March 11th people from across the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island,
the North Islands, and the Lower Mainland will converge on the Legislature
lawn in Victoria to defend our marine highways. Bring your voices, your
placards, your energy and join us for this historic day!

The rally runs from 11:30 - 1:30 and will be filled with a diverse array of
musicians, entertainers and speakers.

We will loudly and clearly tell Premier Christy Clark to:
• Immediately put service cuts and fare increases on hold;
•Conduct open consultations with ferry impacted communities to
determine what they need from BC Ferries; and
• Bring BC Ferries back under government control to lower fares,
improve service, and ensure BC Ferries operates as a vital public
transportation service that benefits all of British Columbia.
Bus transportation to and from the rally is available for $40 per seat for the
return trip. It leaves Horseshoe Bay shortly after 7:00 a.m. For more
information and reservations, go to or call Ric at
(604) 741- 8330. Seniors travel for free on the ferries!
