Canadian trade unionists have watched while our American sisters and brothers have fought the push for 'right to work' laws in the US; laws which have gutted labour rights and unions in almost 30 states. That wave has now washed over the border and the government of Saskatchewan is conducting a review of labour laws that aims to take that province into the 'right to work' fold. The provincial government's agenda is clear: roll back the gains working people in Saskatchewan have made over the past century. The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour is pressing the government to back down using the government's own consultation process.
