In 2008, the BC Federation of Labour was successful in campaigning for regulations that require employers to provide a barrier or have two people work at night. Recently the Workers’ Compensation Board has put forward a proposal that would allow employers to force late night retail workers to work alone - putting workers at risk in order to save retailers money. Employers have mobilized and submitted over 100 letters online in support of rolling back the regulation. We need to take action and show WorkSafeBC that the public doesn't support rolling back regulations. We've prepared a letter that you can send online with a single click. http://form.jotform.com/form/11101503521 Please use the link above to send a letter to WorkSafeBC and urge them not to roll back the regulations.
